What is it?
Think-Pair-Share is a strategy designed to provide students with "food for thought" on a given topics enabling them to formulate individual ideas and share these ideas with another student or in a group.
What could it look like in a wiki classroom?
Announce a discussion topic or problem to solve and give some time to think individually.
Then discuss the topic in pairs and afterward discuss in small groups (4 students) and find a common solution..
What skills are developed in this method?
Think-Pair-Share encourages a high degree of pupil response and can help keep students on task.
It encourages to share opinion and find a common solution or compromise to the problem.
It helps students develop conceptual understanding of a topic, develop the ability to filter information and draw conclusions, and develop the ability to consider other points of view.
